Men’s Round Up – Guest Speaker John Fletcher

John Fletcher – or Fletch as he prefers to be called – has absolutely nothing to do with the “Fletch” movie franchise. However, he tends to stand out because of something his father taught him decades ago: Do the first favor in any relationship. John lives the books that he reads, from “The Go-Giver” that teaches us to give joyfully to “When God Winks at You” that teaches us that God gives us blessings that we tend to write off as luck or coincidence. He attended TCU on a tennis scholarship and was in Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Following a distinguished 25-year radio career in Conroe, Cleburne, and Waco – where he was named the #1 radio broadcaster in America for community service, he entered the advertising agency/public relations field, first in Waco, and now in the Fort Worth area. His company is Fletcher Consulting PR. For nine years, he produced the Baylor Radio Network for football and basketball, playing behind-the-scenes (not on the air) roles. John sends the Run With Endurance inspirational messages at 5:00 a.m. every day. Retired Texas A&M play-by-play announcer Dave South began the Run With Endurance program close to 20 years ago, and John sends Dave’s messages along with others to over 200 recipients. By the way, John has an interesting way of claiming to be “indirectly” the #1 tennis player in the world. We’ll hear more about that on Tuesday evening, July 12th at Krause's cafe'! Fellowship starts at 6:00 pm followed by dinner and speaker. Ticket includes meal. Outdoor venue, casual dress attire.
