Krause’s
NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS
In 1959, Kermit Krause bought “Gene’s Place” from his dad and Krause’s Cafe was born. Serving only a noon meal, Krause’s was frequented as a saloon and became known for their beer, dominos and card games. It’s our hope that Krause’s Cafe will forever be a New Braunfels staple, serving as a gathering place for family and friends.

GERMAN CLASSICS, TEXAN FAVORITES
As citizens of a German town steeped in strong traditions, we take pride in serving classic Deutsche meals with a Texas flair. From schnitzel and bratwurst with sauerkraut and spicy mustard, to pretzels and potato soup, our menu offers a taste of Germany deep in the heart of the Lone Star State.
TAP INTO A NEW TRADITION
Our lively Bierhalle houses the largest tap wall in New Braunfels, offering a wide selection of local craft brews and hometown favorites, while paying homage to the history of our great city. Grab a brew with your crew or wind down for the day with any choice on tap at Krause’s Cafe.
